Labour’s Plan to ensure improved standards in business and public life
Party Leader Eamon Gilmore today published Labour's plan to bring about higher standards in business and public life.
The document, Never Again contains a set of proposals that would make sweeping changes including:
- Cleaning out the boards of the banks.
- Controlling land and property speculation.
- Ending the link between big money and politics.
- Legislating to regulate the practice of political lobbying.
- Introducing Whistleblowers Protection legislation.
- Extending Oireachtas powers of oversight and investigation. Restoring the Freedom of Information Act
