RYAN WELCOMES CONFIRMATION OF SUSPENSION OF DUBLIN BUS DISPUTE
Labour Party TD and Spokesperson on Transport, Brendan Ryan, has welcomed progress made in the Dublin Bus dispute.
Workers will now be balloted on improved pay proposals reached following extensive negotiations between unions and management at the Workplace Relations Commission.
Unions have suspended planned industrial action until the outcome of the ballot is known.
“While union members must now be allowed the space and time to carefully consider these proposals, I’m hopeful this process will lead to a positive outcome of this dispute..
In the meantime, the news will be welcomed by the travelling public, many of whom will be able to take the bus to Saturday’s All Ireland Final at Croke Park, as planned.”
