Reminder: O’Sullivan to launch Greater Security of Tenure and Rent Certainty Bill today @ 11.30
The Labour Party Housing spokesperson, Jan O’Sullivan TD will be available to speak to reporters, this morning, 11.30am, Wednesday 4th April, on the Leinster House plinth/portico (weather depending) to launch our Residential Tenancies (Greater Security of Tenure and Rent Certainty) Bill.
The Residential Tenancies (Greater Security of Tenure and Rent Certainty) Bill seeks to re-balance the landlord-tenant relationship by providing for greater security of tenure and rent certainty for tenants. Our information is that the majority of those who are becoming homeless are from the private rented sector, the Minister for Housing has talked about giving people certainty in their homes and intervening to keep them in their homes but the most effective way to keep people in their homes is to address the issues of security of tenure and rent certainty, and that is why we are introducing this Bill.
What: doorstep with Labour Housing spokesperson, Jan O’Sullivan
