Solidarity with Tusla Workers engaged in Industrial Action

25 October 2023

Labour’s Workers’ Rights spokesperson Senator Marie Sherlock has today expressed her support for the clerical administration workers in Tusla who have commenced industrial action today.

Senator Sherlock said:

“I stand in solidarity with the clerical administration workers in Tusla who have commenced industrial action today. Tusla’s withdrawal from the Job Evaluation scheme is a clear breach of the 2013 Framework agreement. These workers are providing essential services to some of the most vulnerable people in our society and their work needs to be valued.

“I urge all sides to get back to the table and engage on this issue. Tusla, Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and Department of Public Expenditure and Reform need to openly engage with Fórsa and resolve this issue.”
