Labour Party Conference 2021

Alan Kelly speaking at the James Connolly commeration

The 71st Labour Party Conference will run from the evening of Friday 12 November and all day Saturday 13 November in the Round Room, Mansion House, Dublin.

With some public health restrictions still in place, we will be doing some things differently for this conference. However, we want to make Conference as inclusive as possible and therefore it will be a hybrid event, with a limited capacity for physical attendance and others tuning in from home.

You can access the Conference Schedule via this link and the Final Agenda is available here.

Further details as to how this hybrid conference will operate are below:

Postal Ballots

In planning for this hybrid Conference, the Executive Board agreed that all members who would be entitled to attend and vote at conference will be issued with a postal ballot for voting and will be entitled to vote in elections regardless of whether they physically attend conference. This is just one of many measures that we are employing to ensure that members have an opportunity to engage with the usual processes around Conference, despite the unusual circumstances. If you are a paid-up member and entitled to vote you will receive your postal ballots for the two contests taking place this year in the post next week. Once you have voted, please kindly return these ballot papers in the stamped addressed envelope included, to reach Labour Party Head Office by Friday 12th November.

Virtual Attendance at Conference

As the numbers of those who can physically attend conference are limited, members will be able to tune in, watch proceedings and vote from home. In order to be able to vote on motions while tuning in remotely, you will need to register your attendance – this is to ensure that you will receive the necessary emails containing the links to vote on motions. If you are attending Conference in person you do not need to complete this link. Unfortunately, people tuning in from home will not be able to contribute to the debate from home.

Please register your interest to attend conference remotely via this link by 5pm on Friday 5th November.

The Final Agenda and Standing Orders Report Number 1 will be posted on this page in due course.

Looking forward to seeing you either in person or online for our 71st Party Conference!
