The Role
This is an exciting role at the heart of Irish politics. You will work closely with Rob on a wide range of issues, supporting his work on everything from local issues to national policy.
You will be a key member of Rob’s team. This role is primarily based in Leinster House, Dublin with the successful candidate expected to be available to travel to Dublin Fingal West if and when needed for when required.
Preferred Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who has some or all of the following attributes:
- Has strong writing and research skills and can work to a tight deadline.
- Has an excellent eye for detail and can summarise complex information.
- Has the capacity to exercise judgement, discretion, and initiative within a politically sensitive environment.
- Has experience of social media content production and is familiar with graphic design tools and video editing software.
- Has good IT skills and an eagerness to learn new systems.
- Feels comfortable and confident dealing with members of the public who need our help.
- Understands the issues facing communities in Dublin Fingal West.
- Believes in building a fairer, more equal Ireland.
Experience is welcome but not essential.
Pay
Starting pay is €47,483 for the Parliamentary Assistant role and there is a system of yearly increments. Pay rates are set by the Houses of the Oireachtas and cannot be varied by individual TDs.
