Media Briefing on family separation at US border from Chicago-based Immigration Lawyer – Wednesday 11.15am Buswells
Irish-born US Immigration lawyer Fiona McEntee will be available to speak to the media on Wednesday 20th June at 11.15am in Buswells with Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin. He will also be joined by Senator Billy Lawless.
Please note that there is no other briefing event today.
The briefing is in response to the disturbing images of family separation being perpetrated by American border officials in recent weeks.
Fiona McEntee is based in Chicago and has risen to national prominence owing to her unflinching advocacy for the undocumented in the United States and her resistance to the anti-immigration policies of Trump’s White House. She will be joined by Dublin-based spoken word poet Erin Fornoff.
Fiona and Erin are supporters of the Irish Stand campaign which is pressurising Irish-American politicians to condemn the xenophobic policies of Trump’s regime. Together they will call for a boycott of the US Ambassador’s July 4th Reception.
