Howlin to meet with Corbyn and PES Prime Ministers this evening

Labour Party Leader Brendan Howlin is in Madrid, Spain today to attend the launch of the Party of European Socialists manifesto for the upcoming elections in May, and kick off the 2019 campaign for the PES Common Candidate Frans Timmermans.

The election congress is being hosted by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and the PSOE.

Later today at 5.30pm, Labour Party Leader Brendan Howlin will address leaders and activists as part of a panel discussion on a New Social Contract and how to reduce inequality, secure decent minimum wages and create a strong European Labour Authority.

On Friday, Deputy Howlin will also meet with the leader of the UK Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn MP to discuss the latest Brexit developments.

Later on Friday evening, he will attend the Leader’s Dinner with PES Prime Ministers Pedro Sanchez (Spain), Antonio Costa (Portugal), Stefan Lofven (Sweden) and Joseph Muscat (Malta).

The Congress continues until Saturday afternoon.
