Reminder Labour National Conference – this Saturday from 10.30am

The Labour Party will hold a one day National Conference this Saturday 9th November 2019, in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath from 10.30am.

There will be a photocall at 10.30am to open the conference, and a media doorstep at 3pm with Brendan Howlin TD, where our by-election campaign will be launched.

The live TV discussion from 11am to 1pm will debate how we build an equal society with contributions from guest speakers and Labour representatives on direct provision, housing, health, education, and climate justice.

Joan Burton TD will chair a policy session from 2.30pm on Labour’s five core issues, followed by Jan O’Sullivan TD on Labour’s housing plan, and then Sen. Ged Nash on the jobs of the future.

Labour Party Leader Brendan Howlin TD will make his address at 8.30pm.

10.35am – Welcome Address – Jack O’Connor, Party Chairperson

10.45am – Welcome to Mullingar – Alan Mangan, General Election candidate for Longford/Westmeath

10.50am – Senator Ivana Bacik, Chairperson of the General Election Committee

11am – 1pm Building an Equal Society

  • Section 1 – A Fair Start for every Child
  • Section 2 – Education, Mental Health and Drugs
  • Section 3 – Marriage Equality and Abortion rights in Northern Ireland
  • Section 4 – Health and Housing
  • Section 5 – Climate Justice
  • Section 6 – Direct provision, citizenship and online harrassment.
