Kelly Delight At Massive Jobs Announcement for Nenagh – 240 New Full Time Jobs in Lunch Bag
Labour Tipperary TD Alan Kelly has welcomed the announcement of 240 new full time jobs in Lunch Bag, Nenagh,
Deputy Kelly said:
“I’m delighted that Lunch Bag, Ireland’s largest healthy school’s lunches company, are announcing a huge investment in their facility in Nenagh. I introduced them to the town in 2020 and the location where they now are and helped them with their expansion plans over the last two years as they purchased more land from Tipperary County Council.
“The €7.5 million plant expansion will see the creation of an extra 240 jobs in the town as well as an extra 450 part time roles nationwide as they begin construction of their new 50,000sq ft extension to the back of their existing plant in Lisbunny industrial estate.
“This will enable them to produce over 100,000 nutrious hot meals a day in response to the the expansion of the Government’s hot meals scheme as announced in the budget.
“This is fantastic news for the town. The 240 staff required at the Nenagh facility will mostly comprise general operators but also HR, admin, warehouse,logistics staff and van drivers.
“I would like to thank CEO Ray Nangle and MD Geraldine Killian for their investment and also Tipperary County Council for working with us on this over the last four years.”
