Selection Convention updates

It is now only 19 weeks to go until the Local and European elections in June so we have been straight back into action with conventions in January. We now have 63 candidates selected for the Local Elections as of today, with one more due to be selected in New Ross this evening.

Cllr. George Lawlor, Vicky Clancy-Barron and Catherine Walsh were selected in Wexford Town last week, with the aim from the strong Wexford branch to take three seats in the town.

Cllr. Brian McDonagh was selected in Howth-Malahide and Cllr. James Humphreys was selected in Swords, looking to retain their seats on Fingal County Council.

Earlier this week, Cllr. Emma Cutlip, Cllr Michelle Hall and Cllr. Pio Smith were selected in Drogheda.

We will be holding our first European selection convention in Dublin this Saturday 27th January and we will be announcing details shortly for our convention for Ireland South, which will be held on Sunday 18th February, with details on Midlands North West to follow.
