Training with the Far Right Observatory

On a Saturday in February, Labour members from across Ireland came together for a day’s training with Hope and Courage Collective (previously FRO).

Hope and Courage Collective is a national civil society organisation that works with community groups, advocacy groups, trade unions, activists and academics to stop hate organising in our communities and workplaces.

Many of our members and elected reps have played a key role in welcoming refugees and asylum seekers in their communities lately and unfortunately for some this has meant having to deal with local protests and abusive social media commentary.

The Party sought out this training to help support Labour members in these situations and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We hope to run the training again later this year.
