LABOUR WILL MAKE SURE EVERY WESTMEATH CHILD DOES WELL IN SCHOOL – PENROSE

22 February 2016

Deputy Willie Penrose has supported a new plan by Labour to ensure equal access to education for all children.

Speaking today, Deputy Penrose said: “A key question in this election is how we ensure every Westmeath and Longford child has the best possible start in life.  To ensure every child has equality of opportunity, equal access to school is vital.

“Labour’s plan will make sure that local children can attend local schools. Our education plan commits to deliver smallest class sizes in the history of the State, end the use of prefabs and reduce school costs for parents.

“Voters are facing a clear choice this Friday. They can take a bet on other groups who are promising the world but have no intention of going into Government. Or they can vote Labour, knowing that we have a proven track record of delivering for our children and a commitment to continuing this progress.”
