Labour Youth deeply saddened by death of Jo Cox

Labour Youth is deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Jo Cox yesterday following a brutal attack in her constituency.
National Chairperson of Labour Youth, Grace Williams commented: “It was very upsetting to learn of the news of the death of Jo Cox. It is alarming to hear that any political activist is at risk of such an attack for campaigning on an issue in which they believe. This attack is also representative of an attack on our democratic system. No person should feel they cannot say what they believe for fear of attack or death.
“Our sincere sympathies are with the family and friends of Jo Cox at this difficult time.”
