BURTON SENDS BEST WISHES TO STUDENTS SITTING STATE EXAMS
Labour Education Spokesperson, Joan Burton TD, has passed on her best wishes to the thousands of Junior and Leaving Cert students beginning their exams today.
Deputy Burton said:
“I’d like to pass on my best wishes to the thousands of students right around the country who are beginning the State exams today.
“It’s a huge day in a student’s life and one they have been preparing and studying extremely hard for, so I sincerely hope it all goes well for them today and over the course of the coming weeks. It is also an important occasion for the families of students who will be going through the ups and downs with them.
“Exam season can be a time of extreme stress for young people and I would urge them to just do their best and try not to put themselves under added pressure over the next few weeks.
“It’s also important to remember that there are many options regarding education and training available to students once the exams are over.
“Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the thousands of teachers around the country who have been working so hard to ensure their students are exam-ready.”
