Yesterday’s arrests are a timely reminder of what Gardaí do every day to protect our communities
Labour Party candidate for Dublin Bay North, Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin has congratulated the Gardaí on their excellent detective work in Marino and across the city yesterday evening.
Senator Ó Ríordáin said:
“While controversies around Garda management issues regularly make the rounds in Irish media, yesterday’s arrests are a timely reminder of what Gardaí do every day to protect our communities
“The interception of four men and the recovery of a firearm and a silencer Illustrate again how ordinary members of the force regularly put themselves in harm’s way for the protection of others.
“I know the community of Marino are appreciative of the Garda Síochána’s ongoing work. I would encourage all communities to work closely with the Gardaí and to provide whatever information they have that can help disrupt and ultimately destroy the criminal underworld in our city.”
