Humphreys praises public transport workers as Beast from the East hits Dublin

28 February 2018

Labour spokesperson on Transport Senator Kevin Humphreys has paid tribute to Dublin Bus drivers and other public transport workers who are keeping the city moving during the snowy conditions.

Senator Humphreys said:

“As Dublin is hit with the snowy conditions from the so-called Beast from the East, credit must go to Dublin Bus drivers and other public transport workers who are providing such a stellar service this morning in getting people into work.

“Many people who would usually drive, cycle or walk into work are choosing to take the bus this morning as the roads are too icy to navigate and are finding its business as usual on many routes.

“It’s an example of public service at its best and events like these show just how important it is to invest in our national transport system.”
