Labour launch carbon labelling bill – 11:45am at LH Plinth – Tuesday 16 November

Labour climate spokesperson Ivana Bacik and spokesperson on social protection, rural affairs, agriculture & the marine Seán Sherlock will launch Labour’s Carbon Labelling Bill tomorrow ahead of Labour’s PMB slot on Wednesday at 10am-12 noon.
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (Carbon Footprint Labelling) Bill 2021 would provide the carbon footprint on every product to end greenwashing and provide consumers with carbon information. It would place an obligation on the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) to define a standard approach to carbon labelling.
