Statement on the death of Queen Elizabeth II

Labour Party Leader Ivana Bacik TD said:
“We extend our deep sympathies to the people of the United Kingdom on the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with her family and the British people at this time.
“We in Ireland will fondly remember her historic visit in 2011 which did so much to repair bonds between our countries.
“Her decades of public service leave a legacy that will be long remembered. May she rest in peace.”
