Horgan raises need for Community Forum in Douglas

Labour Local Area Rep Peter Horgan raised the need for the Community Garda Forum to be established and get underway for the Douglas, Maryborough Hill Rochestown area.
“It’s well past time that we had a forum established to deal with the issues of Douglas and surrounding areas,” said Mr Horgan.
“I raised the issue in writing at the the recent meeting of the Joint Policing Committee last week and I was informed that the request was to go back to Garda division headquarters and City Hall. I hope to see a date established soon for this forum. We were promised once in 2019 and the arrival Covid was unfortunate in stalling plans. But other forums are back up and running now so we must see one established and underway soon.”
