Oireachtas Media Committee Chair to Meet Kevin Bakhurst on Thursday - The Labour Party
The Chair of the Oireachtas Media Committee Alan Kelly TD has confirmed that he will be meeting with the MD of RTE, Kevin Bakhurst on next Thursday, May 8th.
Deputy Kelly said:
“Following a request from RTE, I will be meeting with Mr Bakhurst on Thursday to discuss future plans for RTE, the restructuring programme and a range of legacy issues in the organisation.
“Of course it will also be my intention to discuss the recent development whereby RTE have revealed that they have written off €3.6 million on a partly failed IT project. This is something I believe that my colleagues on the Committee will want to focus on in the coming weeks.
“I am looking forward to our meeting and discussion on Thursday and believe it is a welcome opportunity.”
