About me

My name is Catherine (Biddy) Walsh. I was born in the heart of Wexford Town to parents Ray and Vera Walsh. They instilled in me and my two sisters a love of Community and a deep sense of Justice and Fairness for all. I am married to Tony Brennan and have lived in town all my life.

Probably best known for a lifetime onstage with many Musical Theatre/Theatrical groups. I am a proud member of Wexford Light Opera Society and Wexford Drama group which has introduced me to a range of Voluntary organisations throughout Co. Wexford developing young people’s confidence and a sense of pride in their community. 

I have worked all my life for ITGWU/SIPTU Trade Union, which has given me a deep understanding of people’s struggles and continue to do my bit to better the lives of all who live in our Community. 

I love Wexford Town, with it’s beating heart where visitors come to our thriving Main Street and our beautiful quay, but I want it to be a place where everyone in our Community, Young, Old, people with disabilities feel safe and can gather to meet friends, shop, and just have a chat. Wexford should be a place where we cherish our aging population, including elderly, people living alone, and those in full time care as an integral part of our Community.
