Mark Boland

About me
My name is Mark Boland, and I’m incredibly proud to represent the constituency of Rush/Lusk on Fingal County Council.
I am proud to call Fingal my home, and I’ve always had a deep love for our towns, villages, and the people who make them special. For nearly 25 years, I’ve worked in the Irish media industry — a role that’s taught me the value of creativity, collaboration, and clear communication.
Outside of work, I’ve always been active in the community, coaching local football and soccer teams, serving on committees, and doing whatever I can to support those around me. That spirit of service is what brought me into politics.
As a Labour Party councillor, I believe strongly in fairness, equality, and giving every voice in our community a chance to be heard. Since being elected, I’ve focused on real, everyday issues—like local infrastructure, pushing for progress on the Rathmore Park Sports Hub in Lusk, and addressing local concerns raised by constituents.
My priorities
My priorities are shaped by the needs of our community: affordable housing, better public transport, safe infrastructure, thriving community spaces, and strong local services. But most of all, I’m here to listen, to act, and to engage and to be a genuine voice for the people I represent.
I’m always open to have a conversation about what’s happening locally, I love to hear from constituents and I’m here to work with and for them, every step of the way.
