Why I got involved in politics

Having joined Labour in 1994, I spent years campaigning with the party on issues of fairness and equality. In 2020, I was co-opted onto Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

I took on the role to continue working on the issues of social and affordable housing and recreational facilities for all.

My priorities

The areas I’m focusing on include campaigning for more social, affordable and cost rental housing, while also pushing for an upgrade of Blackrock seafront and safer cycling routes throughout the county.

I’m also campaigning for a women’s refuge for the area.
