Labour spokesperson on Equality, Senator Ged Nash, will today launch a Bill that seeks to have the state recognise the need to exonerate, and apologise to, gay men who were convicted of sexual offences before 1993.

Senator Ivana Bacik will also launch legislation that aims to ensure that those same-sex couples whose pension rights are hampered by the fact they couldn’t legally marry before 2015, can receive the same entitlements as all other citizens.

Deputies Nash and Bacik will be available to speak to reporters at 12.15pm on the Leinster House Plinth.

Date: Tuesday 6th December, 2016
Time: 12.15pm
