Senator Ivana Bacik to speak at Cross-political Grouping Launch of Yes Campaign today
Senator Ivana Bacik will be speaking today at the launch of a cross-political and cross-professional group seeking to secure public understanding and support for the recommendations of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on the 8th Amendment of the Constitution and campaigning for a Yes vote.
The launch will take place at a press conference and photocall to be held in the Boardroom of Buswells Hotel at 2pm today, Wed 2nd May 2018.
The group, called Women’s Health in Ireland, is convened by Senator Ivana Bacik and Deputy Kate O’Connell. It includes other national politicians and former Oireachtas members. It also includes members of the medical and legal profession.
At the press conference and photocall today, Senator Ivana Bacik will say: “We have brought together politicians from all parties and none to express support for a Yes vote in the referendum and for the Oireachtas Eighth Amendment Committee recommendations. We are working with the Yes campaign to help in providing information in support of a Yes vote in the referendum on 25th May.”
