Labour to launch new Literacy policy in Waterford Thursday 12.30

On Thursday 18th April at 12.30pm in the Vintage Parlour Tea Rooms, the Labour Party will launch a new policy called ‘Literacy Ireland’, our proposals to ensure literacy  supports are available to every adult and child. Media are invited to attend.

The event will be hosted by Labour Education spokesperson Sen. Aodhán Ó Riordáin and Sheila Nunan, our Ireland South candidate and outgoing General Secretary of the INTO and President of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions.

They will be joined by representatives from NALA (National Adult Literacy Agency) and other stakeholders for a round table discussion along with our candidate for Waterford City South, Seamus Ryan.
