Labour to launch National Campaign for Local & European elections – Sunday 2pm

The Labour Party will launch our National Campaign for the Local and European elections this Sunday 28th April at 2pm at the Westbury Hotel off Grafton St.

Party Leader Brendan Howlin will be joined by our three candidates for the European Parliament, and local election candidates from across the country.

Media are invited to attend. There will be a group photocall at 2pm outside on Balfe St.

The Labour Party is running over 100 candidates for the local elections, with 36 incumbents seeking election. 40% of our local election candidates will be women.

The three Labour Party candidates for the European Parliament are:

  •  Dominic Hannigan – Midlands North West Constituency
  • Sheila Nunan – Ireland South constituency
  • Alex White – Dublin constituency

The Labour Party is a member of the Party of European Socialists, the second largest political party in the European Union, which is part of the Socialists and Democrats grouping in the European Parliament.
