Reminder: Labour Party Think In this Sunday – Nano Nagle Place, Cork City

The annual Labour Party Think-In will take place on Sunday 8th and Monday 9th September 2019 in Cork City, opening at the Nano Nagle Place with Labour Party TDs, Senators and Cllrs in attendance.

The schedule of events for Sunday and Monday is outlined below. On Sunday there will be an opening media doorstep at 1.45pm, followed by a Labour Party family photo at 3.45pm. The panels on Sunday are open to observors. On Monday there will be a media doorstep at 11.15am.

12.30pm         Welcome Lunch, Nano Nagle Place, Douglas St, Cork City.

1.45pm           Party Leader Media Doorstep

2pm                Party Leader Opening Address

2.20pm           Inequality in Ireland today

– Chaired by Jan O’Sullivan TD, Labour spokesperson on Housing.

– Fiona Finn, NASC Cork. Inequalities faced by migrants

– Dermot Kavanagh, Director of Cork Simon. Housing Inequality

3.30pm           Coffee Break, followed by Labour Party Family Photo

4pm                How to reduce Inequality

– Chaired by Seán Sherlock TD, Labour spokesperson on Children & Youth Affairs.

– Michelle Murphy, Social Justice Ireland. Policies for a more equal society

– Tanya Ward, Children’s Rights Alliance. No Child 2020 five policies

7pm             Reception for Association of Labour Councillors, Imperial Hotel

7.30pm        Pre-Dinner Drinks Reception, Imperial Hotel

8pm             Dinner for Away Day attendees, Imperial Hotel

 

Monday 9th September – 9.30am to 1.30pm

11.30am      Issues for the new Dáil Term
