Cormac will be deeply missed by all who knew him

15 December 2019

Labour Councillor Mary Freehill has expressed her deep sadness on the death of her Director of Elections and Labour Youth Chair Cormac Ó Braonáin. Cllr Freehill paid tribute to Cormac, saying:

“Cormac was a superb Director of Elections for me in 2019, one of the best people to have in charge of your campaign, as he was a wonderful motivator of people.

“He endeared himself to everyone he worked with. He was a person of enormous integrity and incredible charm in both his personal and political life.

“For such a young man he showed an extraordinary level of maturity, and I will be forever grateful for his help and advice over the last year.

“Cormac had so much political potential and I had looked forward to working with him closely in the years ahead. He is a huge loss to our party, and I want to extend my deepest sympathies to his parents, family and friends”.
