Following the elections to the Seanad, there were four vacant Labour Councillor seats. Nominations were opened recently to fill these positions, and where a contest was required due to more than one name going forward, selection conventions by remote vote where held today.
The four new Labour Party Councillors are as follows:
After the election of Marie Sherlock to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the Cabra Glasnevin electoral area of Dublin City Council.
– The new Councillor is Declan Meenagh.
After the election of Rebecca Moynihan to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the South-West Inner City electoral area of Dublin City Council.
– The new Councillor is Darragh Moriarty.
After the election of Mark Wall to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the Athy electoral area of Kildare County Council.
– The new Councillor is Mark Leigh.
After the election of Annie Hoey to the Seanad, a vacancy arose in the Laytown-Bettystown electoral area of Meath County Council.
– The new Councillor is Elaine McGinty.
