Doorstep 2pm – Ivana Bacik – Seanad reproductive leave bill

Labour Party Seanad Leader Senator Ivana Bacik will be available to speak to media on the plinth at 2pm today Monday 24th May on her bill to be debated in the Seanad this evening providing for paid reproductive leave.

At 7:30pm, this evening the Seanad will debate Labour’s Reproductive Health Leave Bill to amend the Organisation of Working Time Act. If enacted, Labour’s Bill would provide an entitlement to reproductive leave of up to 20 days for women who suffer an early miscarriage, and up to 10 days leave for employees to receive treatments like IVF.
