Why I got involved in politics

I joined the Labour party at the time of the property crash and Bank Guarantee.

As someone who had always been vocal about politics but never actually got involved I felt it was time to do some practical work with others to change policies and to try and make things better.

I joined up to work with Brendan Ryan, Peter Coyle and Bernie Malone and ended up being selected to run for the council.

My priorities

My priorities are community services, Sustainable transport and active travel, decent affordable housing, proper planning and protection of our community infrastructure.

My background

I worked hard to deliver the Portmarnock Baldoyle cycleway and to support community organisations sports clubs and voluntary groups.

I participate in local clean coast and tidy town initiatives as well as working with sustainable energy committes and other local groups to improve our areas. I have a background in Software Sales, and community Arts .

I currently work for Aodhán Ó Ríordáin TD as a Parliamentary assistant.
